Growing up within the Black Shroud, Sami'a spent most of his life living with and helping take care of his clan. He was heavily trained in archery and one of the main hunters who went on patrols. It was during one such patrol that he ran into a male miqo’te who would drastically change the course of his life with a simple conversation. When the male had left and Sami’a was alone he began to question himself and his place within the clan.Upon his declaration of his new identity he was surprisingly welcomed with open arms, his mothers and sisters seeing no harm in him staying. However, for his own need to prove himself he decided he would leave the clan to live on his own as most males did. It was during this time living on his own that he had a run in with wood wailers that caused him to leave his homeland and move on for a different life.Upon moving to Limsa Sami’a was unsure of what to do with himself. Not used to the hustle and bustle of cities and the etiquette that went along with it he struggles to get himself a float. Eventually he turned to petty theft and bartering so he would at least have food to get by. His luck changed when he bumped into an ishgardian hyur. Caught in the act of swiping her coin purse she thankfully took pity on the scrawny miqo’te and offered to instead teach him a new set of skills.Upon finding out that Sami’a was weak in aether she decided to teach him basic tarot reading, which he picked up quite fast. A few nights of lessons and he’d mastered the basics and she was happy to leave him with a book going more into the subject before departing. Using these learned skills Sami’a started to offer card readings for a few meager gil at the aetheryte and soon word of his accurate readings spread.Now with a stable home and stable food Sami’a has taken to traveling more to read the future of others elsewhere. While it's still easiest to catch him within the Limsa plaza it is not uncommon to find him with the alchemy guild of Ul’dah working on his newest passion or even all the way in Kugane doing contract work for a client. No matter where he is, he's always happy to tell you what the stars hold in store. TRIVIA. 

  • Sami'a is atherically weak, making teleporting and casting magic hard on him.

  • He does not like to drink, preferring to order coffee at most bars.

  • Even for a keeper his tail is long and very fluffy.

  • He is easily cold, preferring to stay in warm and humid environments.

  • Often consumes small amounts of dangerous plants to form a tolerance.

  • Sami'a was give a pet dodo by a close friend and brings him everywhere.

  • Druid bag: This bag is enchanted with a pocket dimension in which a garden and workstation combo can be found. Stocked with a 'starter's kit' of various plants and other non-plant based components, this entire set up is geared toward alchemic practices and potion brewing.The owner of this bag can live and breath in this pocket dimension as well as come and go as they please via the bag itself.

  • Song of Slumber: This pendant depicts which phase the moon is currently in, and tracks said phases in real time. When activated by it's attuned user's hums, the necklace self casts a difficult to detect sleep spell upon the current pendant's wearer. The attuned user must be at 30 fulms or less in distance from the pendant when activating it.

  • Candle of Forgettable Griefㅤ: Once lit, the user will hold the candle and confess in detail to the candle their most painful memory. As they do so, the wax will slowly turn black, gradually absorbing the user's painful memory from their mind and burning it away. Said memory cannot be remembered after the candle is fully burned away. The flame can not be put out once lit.

  • Scrying Bones: They look to be assorted animal bones, horns, and antlers for the most part, but judging by the size, some of these are undoubtedly human bones - others from creatures you can't pinpoint the identity of. Regardless of origin, they're picked clean, and many are already carved with runes and sigils. To be used in osteomancy or for any other purposes you see fit.

  • Athame: A knife commonly used in rituals either innocent or dark. Made with the conduction and containment of aether in mind, for use in just about anything - spell-casting, prayer, ceremony, gardening, and blood magic are all fair game with this sharp, ornate knife.

  • Blue candle: Smells like vanilla.

  • Looking for a reading? Sami’a is a common sight within the Limsa square doing his tarot readings. To have heard rumors of his accuracy may be enticing enough to seek him out and see for yourself.

  • Worshiper of Menphina. A circular tattoo in the shape of the symbol of Menphina adorns the back of Sami'a's neck. He makes no effort to hide it.

  • Learning something new. Sami'a is somewhat knowledgeable in tarot, astronomy and alchemy. However, the miqo'te is always looking to learn more and willing to listen to hours of rambling.

  • Medical assistance. Sami'a carries some of his trial runs at potion making on him. They won't harm, but they likely won't help as much as those made by someone more skilled.

  • Visitor in Kugane. Sami'a's highest paying client often has him come out to Kugane to work, but he doesn't have a real grasp of the culture and being a miqo'te he stands out like a sore thumb.

  • A need to explore. Theres a few more dangerous places Sami'a has been eyeing to visit. However, he needs someone more knowledgeable when it comes to potential threats and how to put them down before he can go.

  • Hired entertainment. For the right price Sami’a is willing to provide entertainment for events, as long as they’re not in Gridania. Perhaps you’re a guest, a fellow entertainer, hired security, or even the host themselves. Whatever way, it seems your paths were destined to cross.

  • Pet Dodo. Sami'a was gifted a pet Dodo by one of his best friends and often lets him run about his feet wherever he is. He might peck you for a grape.
